🌟 Asana Pose of the Week: Extended Triangle Pose (Utthita Trikonasana) 🌟
This powerful pose symbolizes the balance between mind, body, and spirit—just as a triangle stands strong with three points, we find stability and harmony in our own lives when we align these aspects of ourselves.
How to Practice:
1. Begin in a wide-legged stance, with your feet about 3-4 feet apart.
2. Turn your right foot out 90 degrees and your left foot slightly in.
3. Extend your arms parallel to the floor, reaching actively through your fingertips.
4. On an exhale, reach your right hand forward and hinge at your hip, bringing your hand to your shin, ankle, or the floor.
5. Your left arm reaches toward the sky, and your gaze can follow.
6. Engage your core, and open your chest, feeling the stretch in your legs, hips, and spine.
7. Hold for a few breaths, then switch sides.
In Utthita Trikonasana, we cultivate a deep connection to the earth, grounding ourselves while expanding our awareness and energy upwards. It reminds us that through steady effort and balance, we can rise above challenges with grace and poise. ✨
Give it a try and let the triangle’s strength and symmetry bring balance to your practice! #YogaWisdom #PoseOfTheWeek #BobbieJonesYoga
